Is celery the new super food?
Many have dove head first into the celery juice challenge and are now eternally greatful for having done so.

Rachel Goodman, Registered dietician discusses celery juice with Mindbodygreen.com and states that "Celery is a good source of potassium, vitamin K, and flavonoids—compounds that have been shown in studies to help keep electrolyte balance, function as antioxidants, and can help lower blood pressure and inflammation."
Should I be drinking celery juice & can’t I just eat the celery instead of juicing?
You certainly can but keep in mind that each 16 Oz. juice contains roughly a 1.5 Lbs. of celery. If you really really enjoy the taste of celery then it’s possible, but otherwise it would be very difficult to consume this much celery, especially first thing in the morning like we suggest. Juicing also seperates the insoluble fibers from the juice thus allowing a more rapid digestion and absorption of the valuable nutrients within.
When should you drink celery juice?
Anytime is a good time to drink celery juice, but if your intentions are to optimize the benefits of your juice then it should be done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. It you currently start your day with a lemon water or water don’t alter your routine, just allow 30 minutes before consuming your celery juice.
